The Challenge

Connecticut Light & Power, in its second century of service and providing more than 1.1 million customers with safe and reliable electricity, wanted Evans to design and manufacture a unique open custom solution for its network operations center.

Their custom design requirements included ample amounts of work surface and storage space. They also had very specific configuration challenges that Evans had to creatively solve.

The Evans Solution

Evans met the challenge head on by proposing a custom solution that incorporated both the Identity and Strategy consoles coupled with custom millwork.

A unique Open Identity with custom millwork surpassed CL&P's work surface and storage requirements. Custom cabinets were also included all around the walls of the NOC to ensure additional storage space.

In addition, to meet the unique configuration requirements, Evans creatively utilized a quad-formation of Strategy consoles divided by privacy panels. This efficiently utilized a small floor footprint and ensured privacy between operators.
