The Challenge

The client, Norlight Telecommunications, a company who has been guarding the data of its valued clients for over 30 years, came to Evans to help design their new showplace 40 position network operations center (NOC).

The client required a single-source supplier to provide a turnkey solution for this new installation. Specifically, their requirements included the need for custom millwork storage enclosures that had to match the console design and layout.

They also required a matching custom enclosure solution for their large video wall. With this audio-visual wall, it was also very necessary to ensure that every operator?s sightlines were unobstructed within the tiered design of the room itself.

The Evans Solution

To meet the client's needs, Evans' complete solution capability was utilized to its fullest. To start, a design study was completed for the client to ensure that all its stated requirements would be met and any others would be outlined early on.

Based on this study, a proposal that combined our custom Identity console, Command View Audio-Visual solution and custom millwork provided the complete "turn-key" solution the client required.

The tiered design included single-high custom wood finish Identity Consoles that ensured clear sightlines to the matching wood-finished Command View wall.

Again, matching custom millwork was integrated to ensure ample storage space to complete a room that was both very functional and operator friendly, as well as an aesthetic showpiece.
