Evans Supplies State-Of-The-Art Consoles To New National Counterterrorism Center in Virginia
On June 10, 2005, the public got their first glimpse of the new National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) in McLean, VA as the media reported on President George W. Bush`s official inauguration of the facility and the appointment ofJohn Redd as the center`s director.The new NCTC state-of-the-art facility, which is responsible for analyzing intelligence on terrorism and for the strategic planning of counterterrorism operations, will draw information from 26 diferent government networks, including air traffic control. In addition, its analysts come from the CIA, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as other agencies.
As this was a proud day for America`s national security efforts, it was also a proud day for Evans Consoles, who provided the custom consoles for this mission critical 24/7 facility. With very strong working relationships and key projects with all levels of the US Government, Evans now has yet another showcase control room to add to its 6500 installations and growing.
